Kindness Kits - Community Involvement Ideas

Prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, State Employees Credit Union of Maryland planned to host their first companywide volunteer day during their annual month-long Giving Campaign. However, with in-person volunteer opportunities on hold, SECU instead shifted their efforts to a company-wide Day of Kindness in which employees took a full day to complete random acts of kindness in the community. By providing employees with kindness kits containing some tools to help get started, SECU ignited a movement to share kindness with friends, family, neighbors, and strangers to create a ripple effect that inspires others to spread smiles and positivity.
