Non-profit organizations everywhere have seen a drastic cut in donations due to COVID-19. Theresa Wendhausen of First National Bank and Trust Company saw this gap and decided to take action. Through their Employee Directed Donations program, they’ve engaged their employees by having them select the non-profits they would like to support. Their employees get to play a bigger part in the donation process and non-profits get their much-needed funding.

COVID-19 has made it difficult for families to provide for even the most basic necessities and many businesses have struggled to conduct their business remotely. Through their Rapid Relief Fund Grants, Melissa Denbow & Machias Savings Bank help struggling families receive food, shelter, and childcare. And through their Business Resilience Grants, they help support small businesses adapt to working remotely.
